There has been a tradition in Toastmasters that everyone present is given an opportunity to speak up. Table Topics session is one of the three sessions in club meetings that follow this tradition. In Table Topics sessions, members are appointed to give a one to two-minute impromptu speech about the topic the appointees were given. Table Topics Master prepares and gives the topic. The speaker responding to the topic is required original as much as possible.
The Table Topics session is where we practice making impromptu speeches, we learn the skills of how to quickly formulate our ideas and talk of them promptly.
