"The only people who have dreams can win happiness in life"

Through ups and downs after joining Mazda Motor Corporation, a young man who had desired to realize his own dream led Mazda to the overall victory in the Le Mans 24-Hour Endurance Race with a rotary engine-powered racing model. Then, through being involved in the development of Mazda Roadster, he deeply thought about a true craftsmanship and asked himself the meaning of creating a convertible model here in Hiroshima while pursuing his dream of giving people happiness. In the development of the 4th generation Mazda Roadster, he envisaged an ideal model, set a high goal and strived to realize the concept "Co-creation" in which Mazda shares the same dream with customers. As a result,  the Mazda Roadster has obtained a monumental achievement of receiving awards in 70 countries, most recently the 2016 World Car of the Year as well as the World Car Design of the Year.
